The Meaning of Revolution

THE MEANING OF REVOLUTION - An in-sight to LC’S mind by Ananya

Introducing the first blog devoted to the background of the revolution –  our team, the I AM X CREW created, its purpose, sources of inspiration, and an inside look at the author's thinking process.

The revolution has a range of meanings depending upon the individual.

For some it may be about the French Revolution, pitchforks or Les Miserable; but for LC it's a lifestyle choice, it’s about not cradling to the written set of rules from history, but making their own choices, challenging the stigma of art and changing through their own creative ways.

For them, revolution is a way to express themselves, reform society, and give unheard voices a platform.

It’s about getting out of that self-build box and creating bridges for more diversity and for their influence to leave an everlasting impact. They strive to set a positive example for sustainability, but the creative industry is where their focus lies.

This led to the discussion on the crew name, I AM X.

To LC, it's merely a saying, “We are what we are in the moment of time, by the creation that defines us”.

It's a philosophy that came to Lola when they were changing and recycling the Revolution series for a new credo. They felt the need to find something better that would come closer to what the team wanted to express and portray to the world.

The I AM X is whatever the group decides it to be and represent, be it a revolting LGBTQAI+ photoshoot or new character files for the New Born Kingdom Series. The I AM X will change according to the need of time. However the essence will remain on the earth, its story will be told beyond all of our lives thanks to the art the team puts out into the world.

Moving on from What and Why, let’s dive into the thoughts of the author and find out how this revolution came to life.

LC grew up in Germany in a very conservative environment, surrounded by racism, homophobia, hate, anger and people who chose the average life and were scared to get out of their box. There were days when individuals couldn’t seem to get through the day and kept their negative views about life; LC went through all of this, but their desire to get out and make history kept them going.

The hunger for more brought LC to London; the London dream, which accompanied them since their childhood, was made possible by the sheer resolve to change their normal life and take risks despite everything.

“Nowadays I simply can’t live my life like an average person - there is nothing wrong with it and Gods please, if you’re one of the people that prefers a simple life, I am beyond happy for you. My mind simply doesn’t work that way. There is always MORE for me to explore, MORE to discover and MORE to understand”, said LC when questioned.

Doing what makes you happy is the best approach to developing a happy soul, which leads to a happy body. LC chose this path and has never been happier and more healthy, ever since. They are fulfilling their life purpose to inspire, create and revolt.

But of course they do feel exhausted now and then, the 21st century is not easy for a leader and pressure and outside factors are a daily challenge.

But to quote LC once more, “Nothing makes me feel more alive than someone coming to me and telling me that I am the reason why they started Project X, became a writer, or did the thing they thought they could never do. Being an author, an artist and mentor combines the main purpose I am committing myself to inspire people to do the impossible.”

For the flawless execution of a creative process, every artist needs background music to work with, be it their preferred artist’s songs, an instrumental or sometimes just silence. Our artist prefers instrumental or soundtracks while working on the books. When you live in a big city, the rush and noise can also be the perfect music for certain settings. LC listens to their “mood playlist” when in a visionary creation phase, planning, plotting or prepping. But the most played genre is Korean Hip-Hop and RnB throughout the creation process.

When asked about LC’s favorite part of the whole project, they dedicated everything to the team.

“Some of these people have seen me at my lowest of lows and somehow are still here, still chasing that same dream, vision and the creation I try to bring forward in this world. That to me is a certain kind of love that I wish for anyone to experience. There is something magical about creating art on your own, but when you do it together as a team; that makes my heart go boom.”

LC shows the love and respect they have for the entire team. Not forgetting the community supporting them, LC added that they are forever grateful for the cheers, support and help that the community is always ready to provide the team with.
